The HELIX DSP ULTRA S sets a new benchmark for digital signal processors. A High-Res 12-channel processor with a full 96 kHz / 32 Bit signal path, it refines its already impressive predecessor in every relevant discipline – combining audiophile precision with innovative engineering, manufactured entirely in Germany.
Audio performance par excellence
A completely revised signal path keeps distortion to an absolute minimum. AKM Velvet Sound™ 32 Bit AD and DA signal converters work alongside particularly low-noise operational amplifiers from TI / BurrBrown’s legendary “OPA series” with SoundPlus™ technology, while a newly designed analog input stage provides optimal noise rejection – clarity and detail that hold up under the most demanding conditions.
TwinDSP power
Two of the most powerful 64 Bit audio signal processors from Analog Devices deliver 2.4 billion MAC operations per second. That computing reserve drives eight input channels, eight virtual channels, and twelve output channels – all processed at a 96 kHz sampling rate for an audio bandwidth beyond 40 kHz.
ACO platform and Virtual Channel Processing
The 32 Bit ACO CoProcessor platform accelerates data communication with the DSP PC-Tool software and carries features such as the Input Signal Analyzer (ISA), Input EQ for compensating input signals of factory radios, Dynamic Loudness Control, Remote Tone Control, and proprietary sound effects including Augmented Bass Processing and RealCenter. Multi-stage Virtual Channel Processing makes even highly complex configurations – several inputs mixed and split again into multi-way systems – straightforward to realize.
Connectivity at the highest level
The HEC slot allows the processor to be tailored with additional input and output modules, while the Smart Control Port ensures reliable connection of remote controls and accessories. With an input sensitivity range of 1 - 8 Volts (RCA) or 4 - 32 Volts (highlevel) and the latest generation ADEP.3 circuit, the DSP ULTRA S adapts to virtually any analog source – all in a compact, timeless housing that is easy to integrate.
